A very warm welcome to all our readers!
Let me start it with this way!!!
"At the stroke of MIDNIGHT hour!
When the world sleeps,
INDIA awake to rise and freedom."
India got it's independence on 15th August, 1947 at 12 o'clock midnight.
The fight was of more than 200 years, the struggle had many sacrifices. But at the end of all we made it, we hosted our tricolour national flag.
Although, the journey was not the end. Infact, it was the beginning of new story, new chapter, new life.
Any small thing needs a proper management and here we are talking about running a nation.
To run a country like India with so much of diversities and complexity we need a very strong and powerful constitution.
At the time of freedom India was not having any permanent constitution, instead it had laws based on Government of India Act, 1935.
It is said Indian constitution is nothing but just the copy of the other constitution. May be true!
As our constitution has different parts adopted from different constitution of the countries.
For eg:
•Parliamentary formations and law making procedure is taken from British constitution.
•Our preamble and Fundamental Rights are taken from United states.
•Our Ideals of liberty, fraternity and equality are from French constitution.
•Our Fundamental Duties are from Soviet Union, Etc.
You know my dear readers,  our constitution took 2 years 11 months and 18 days to come into action.

On 24th August,  1947 a committee was made under the chairmanship of Dr. B.R Ambedkar to draft a permanent constitution of our country. With many changes and amendments by 308 members of our parliamentary assembly, on 24th January, 1950 it was represented and written in 2 languages(English and Hindi). After two days of this representation on 26th January, 1950 our constitution came into force which we celebrate as Republic day today.

I can understand! one question here, why it came into action after 2 days if it was ready on 24th January itself ??
The answer to this question is:
26th January is a date when Indian national congress in 1930 proclaimed 'Purna Swaraj' (complete independence) by opposing the Dominion status offered by British Regimes.
One more interesting fact about our constitution is: it is the  lengthiest constitution of the world. It currently has 448 Articles in 25 parts and 12 Schedules.
So, while forming the constitution of India each and every aspect of the our diversities and our integrity is kept into consideration and than it came into force.
As the journey of Freedom was not easy, similarly the journey of Republic is also not an easy task.
At last I wanna sum up by saying:
"Tiranga to firak raha tha khule aasman mai,
Par baat thi savidhan ki,
Bola tha kisi ne aazadi to mil gai hai,
Par desh kese chalega,
Hum leke aaye javab uska
Bhale 2 saal baad hi sahi,
Par pure atma sanman ke sath,
Aaj ussi tirange ko pura jahan salam de raha hai
Or Bharat ka ek ek viyakti gadh gadh khush ho raha hai."
( The national flag was hosted with pride but the question was of constitution and running a nation. Someone said that getting freedom is different and running a nation is different. We come up with the answer although late, but today whole world is saluting that tricolor flag and each citizen of India is getting pride in their heart.)
With this A very Happy Republic Day to everyone. 
Celebrate the joy of our constitution today and be proud of our India.
Stay updated, stay safe!
