Hello, Welcome to Dark Street Hackers!!!

Telegram, the most popular encrypted application in the world. Many of us are using telegram for different activities. On 12th june it had gone offline for sometime due to heavy DDoS attack in its server. The reason is Hong-Kong protesters. Let me explain you in detail.

Since past days before this attack, millions of people in Hong Kong are fighting their political leaders over the proposed amendments to an extradition law that would allow a person arrested in Hong Kong to face trial elsewhere, including in mainland China. Most of the people see it as a fundamental threat to the territory's civic freedoms and the rule of law. So many people in Hong Kong started using Telegram's encrypted messaging service to communicate without being spied on, organize the protest, and alert each other about activities on the ground.

Different activities were being planned and spread through telegram app. Due to this encryption app, China government wasn't able find different leaders in the protesters group who were leading different kind of activities. Accidently, telegram server was attacked by heavy dose of DDos on 12th June 2019. Telegram founder, Pavel Durov tweeted that the attack was mainly coming from the IP addresses located in China, may be the Chinese government could be behind it to sabotage Hong Kong protesters. According to Telegram, the company received "Dozens of garbage requests" which stop its servers from processing legitimate requests, and the 'state-actor sized' attack has been traced back to IP addresses in China. Here is the tweet of telegram founder:

It's was being sure that a DDoS attack doesn't have anything to do with the security of data stored on the targeted servers. Instead, aims to take a service offline, the company assured that the user data is safe. So, don't worry about your data and keep using telegram app. It is not the first time to face this type of attack for the political issue.

This is it. Stay tuned for more update. Until then bye bye.
