Team viewer under attack

Team viewer is a tool for controlling the remote desktop and also sharing and transferring files remotely between computers. But what if that tool you trust will become spyware? Yes!!! you heard right.
Recently a security researcher name FewAtoms found a malicious URL hxxp://rosalos.ug/xxx in this tool. A URL contains malicious self-extracting archive file. When you install the TeamViewer, it also executes and adds additional files into a temp folder and when it executes it runs the Teamviewer.exe file with a malicious .dll file. This .dll file is gathering information about victims computer system details like RAM, OS Type, Computer Name, Administrative Privilege etc. These information conducts and sends back to the httpx://intersys32[.]com.
The researcher also said that this malware also connected with the other information-stealing malware called Fareit.
Team viewer is a very popular tool for sharing and monitoring the other desktop. So be aware not to be a victim of such kind of malware.
